Job Summary
Insurance Agent/Producer focused on helping members navigate insurance options. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting members, providing quotes and information on insurance products, making product recommendations, building long-term relationships, cross-selling Credit Union products, and conducting frequent sales calls in the field. Requires knowledge of company products, pricing, compliance training (Bank Secrecy/OFAC, BSA/AML), and licensing (Property Casualty and Life & Health). A base salary of $45,000 per year with commission and a strong emphasis on service, sales performance, and member satisfaction. Based in Jasper with travel to serve members throughout the service area; home base in Jasper with field-oriented daily activities. Equal employment opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of experience in working with insurance programs
- Must hold or be able to obtain proper licensing with the Indiana Department of Insurance (Property Casualty and Life & Health)
- Interpersonal skills to interact with members and represent the Credit Union and Insurance Agency
- Judgment and problem solving within established guidelines
- Mathematical skills for calculations involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.
- Technology skills including word processing, spreadsheet software, Internet use
- Service orientation and commitment to customer service
- Sales-focused with ability to meet/exceed sales goals through prospecting and client interactions
