Job Summary
Independently issue BCAA insurance products and services to current and new customers by reviewing existing coverage and making recommendations for policy security and renewal. Collaborate with Support Teams and Underwriting to assess risks and recommend appropriate coverage while leading customer accounts from payment processing to issuing new policies, endorsements, and cancellations. Achieve sales and productivity goals while upholding underwriting guidelines and member experience standards. Maintain annual licensing requirements, participate in training courses, and increase industry expertise to potentially advance toward a team lead or people leader role.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 to 2 consecutive years' experience of general insurance experience
- one year experience selling homeowners insurance
- Level 1 (Insurance Advisor) or 2 (Senior Insurance Advisor) Insurance license
- Completion of Autoplan Essentials
- Limited history of Errors & Omissions
- in good standing with the Insurance Council of BC
- Comfortable using technology
- basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Desired Qualifications
- CAIB certification
- experience using ICBC systems
- ability to speak other languages aside from English
