Insurance Advisor, Home and Auto - Advice Centre (Bilingual)

Job Summary
Provide insurance advice and solutions to clients based on their needs through inbound calls, resolving concerns at first point of contact while demonstrating relationship building. Complete personalized needs assessments and reviews by leveraging tools and calculators to support advice recommendations, and demonstrate a solid understanding of regulatory risk when underwriting and updating home and auto insurance policies. Cultivate and maintain relationships with partners to work as one RBC team, proactively recommending personal home and auto insurance solutions to new and existing clients. This role requires obtaining the Quebec Damage Insurance certificate and General Insurance License for Ontario, with bilingualism in English and French essential. Full-time, 37.5-hour schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 8:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Willingness and ability to successfully obtain the Quebec Damage Insurance certificate delivered by l'Autorité des marchés financiers and the General Insurance License for Ontario Other Than Life and other provinces
- Bilingualism (English and French)
- High level of reading, comprehension and speaking in both languages
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build strong relationships and connect with clients
- Flexibility to work all shifts within the hours of operation
- Digital literacy across a broad range of services (i.e. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc.)
- Post-secondary education
- Knowledge of insurance products
- Customer service and/or sales experience in a contact centre environment
Desired Qualifications
- Possession of the Quebec Damage Insurance certificate delivered by l'Autorité des marchés financiers
