Job Summary
Insulation Supervisor leading a 13- to 15-person fabricators team on woodworking-related insulation components for transformer production. Responsibilities include supervising fabrication and preparation of insulation components, spending ~80% on the production floor supporting daily operations, developing department schedules, coordinating labor and materials to meet deadlines, reading blueprints and communicating engineering changes to production personnel, performing dimensional inspections and ensuring quality throughout manufacturing, ensuring compliance with procedures and safety standards, mentoring and providing performance feedback, partnering with Engineering, Quality, and Planning, and coordinating employee training related to manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety. The role requires strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with the ability to enforce policies and optimize staffing to meet production demands, along with flexibility for overtime and weekend work as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of woodworking processes, materials, and equipment
- Experience managing team assignments, production schedules, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Willingness to obtain forklift and crane certification (company paid)
- Ability to work rotating 1st & 2nd shifts (or 100% 2nd) + occasional Saturdays (paid)
