Job Summary
Electrical-focused Instrumentation/Control Technician role performing electrical functions on facility, production and manufacturing equipment; responsibilities include diagnosing and correcting complex electrical issues, troubleshooting PLC applications, editing PLC programs, wiring industrial equipment, sizing wiring/breakers/transformers, ordering parts, and reading electrical blueprints and manuals to ensure proper operation in a Columbus, OH manufacturing setting (2nd shift); requires PLC knowledge, PLC troubleshooting, ladder logic, and formal electrical training or equivalent manufacturing experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Formal electrical training from trade school, military training, or apprenticeship or minimum of six (6) years of experience in manufacturing
- Four (4) years experience in a production environment (preferably FDA regulated) with PLC systems, conveyor and electrical control systems
- Understanding PLC operation and ability to troubleshoot using a laptop
- Reads and understands electrical blueprints, ladder logic and manuals
