Job Summary
Instrumentations Control Technician responsible for electrical functions on facility, production and manufacturing equipment. Performs troubleshooting and repairs of PLC applications, edits PLC programs, reads electrical blueprints and ladder logic, and handles electrical wiring of industrial equipment. Requires diagnosing complex electrical issues, sizing wiring/breakers/transformers, and ordering parts, all while following SOPs and electrical codes. 2nd shift at the Columbus/New Albany facility; requires high school diploma/GED and 4 years of production experience with PLCs (or six years in manufacturing with formal electrical training).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Four (4) years experience in a production environment (preferably FDA regulated) with PLC systems, conveyor and electrical control systems
- Formal electrical training obtained through trade schools, military training or apprenticeship programs or minimum of six (6) years of experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Understanding PLC operation and able to troubleshoot using a laptop
