Job Summary
Plan layout and installation of stainless steel tubing systems for hydraulic and instrumentation equipment using drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Measure, cut, bend, thread, and assemble tubing and piping while coordinating daily work with limited supervision. Utilize hand, hydraulic, and power tools to drill holes, attach brackets, and operate lifts and cranes as necessary. Comply with all client and HSE policies, including 6S guidelines, while inspecting and maintaining tools. Requires experience with Swagelok tubing and HPU systems; on-site bend test required during interview. Day or night shifts available in Houston, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Previous Instrumentation experience in Swagelok stainless steel tubing
- Tubing ranges from a quarter inch to 1 inch- Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) experience
- Ability to read hydraulic schematics
- Ability to fit, cut, and bend stainless steel tubing without errors
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to lift 30 lbs
- Work at heights up to 65 feet
- Will be standing, sitting, and walking throughout the workday
- Work in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Day shift, 5:00 am – 5:30 pm (30-min lunch)
- Night shift, 5:00 pm – 5:00 am (30-min lunch)
- The start and end time of the shift will depend on part arrivals
- An on-site bend test will be required during the on-site interview
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the oil & gas industry is highly preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in Oil and Gas is highly preferred
- Previous experience with Client competitors such as Cameron and Schlumberger with HPU, surface equipment, and land equipment experience
- Previous experience working with Swagelok (brand) Stainless Steel Tubing - high-quality tubing is highly preferred
