Job Summary
Instrumentation Technician within the Technical Service Maintenance group performing preventive calibrations for Building Management System and Process Control Systems/Instruments (e.g., Fermentation vessels, Bioreactors, Air Handling systems, Filling Lines, Freeze Dryers). Responsibilities include scheduling and completing calibrations per the CMMS, maintaining calibration records and standards, updating equipment status, replacing or repairing failed equipment, coordinating with vendors, and staying current with training to comply with SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, PSM, and regulatory requirements. Requires strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills, with ability to work in a team, interpret blueprints, and operate within cGMP/FDA/OSHA/EPA frameworks. Full-time role with potential overtime; located in Atlanta or Douglasville, GA.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED (minimum)
- Two+ years of assignment-related maintenance/equipment experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Basic/working knowledge of CMMS and calibration processes
- Proactive in learning and maintaining instrumentation equipment and systems per SOPs/Regulatory requirements
- Ability to interpret blueprints/schematics
- Willingness to work varying shifts and overtime as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Two+ years of assignment-related maintenance/equipment experience
- Valid drivers’ license
- Basic to advanced understanding of instrumentation and control systems
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Basic PC skills with CMMS experience (preferred)
- Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics
- Knowledge of cGMP, FDA, OSHA, EPA regulatory requirements (preferred)
- Willingness to work varying shifts and overtime as needed
- Ability to adhere to SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, PSM
