Job Summary
Instrumentation Technician at Beta Technologies is responsible for installing and maintaining supplemental instrumentation on a variety of aircraft components and assets. You will assist instrumentation engineers, maintain installation records and documentation, follow installation procedures and plans, manage instrumentation equipment and consumables, and help create a safe and efficient work environment. The role requires hands-on technical aptitude, ability to interpret drawings and schematics, soldering and tool-handling skills, and strong teamwork and communication to see instrumentation packages through from planning to completion.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year engineering degree or certificate from an accredited two (2) year college, university, or technical school or minimum 2 years work experience in a related technical field
- Passionate about continuous improvement and driven to continually learn, develop, and adapt
- Ability to assist in problem analysis and independent decision-making
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Ability to solder
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and schematics of electronic components
- Good team communication skills required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Applications share point, outlook, word, excel, PowerPoint ; Slack, application lifecycle
- Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience
- Electrical enclosure fabrication experience
- Small circuit assembly experience
- Aerospace design verification experience, especially compliance test experience
