Job Summary
Install instrumentation systems by reading drawings, loop sheets, and P&ID's to lay out, fabricate, and assemble tubing, instruments, conduit, and panel boards. Measure, cut, bend, and connect piping and tubing while erecting trays, supports, and structural parts. Prepare and install instrument panels, controls, and switches, ensuring all work adheres to safety standards and NCCER certification requirements. Work in all weather conditions with appropriate PPE, including heights and scaffolding, while balancing project priorities to complete installations on time.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the knowledge and ability to read and understand drawings, loop sheets, P&ID's, and specifications
- Must be NCCER Certified and have TDLR
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must pass drug test and background check
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Vocational training/certification or other postsecondary education directly related to his position
- Instrument NCCER Certification
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots
- U.S. Only: Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Norrell Construction is required
