Job Summary
Design, select, and specify instrumentation including sensors, analyzers, PLCs, and control valves while developing engineering documents like P&IDs and electrical schematics. Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems, performing calibration and testing of field equipment to ensure accurate measurement. Support installation, commissioning, and startup of I&E assets, troubleshooting electrical systems such as motors, MCCs, and switchgear. Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, ISA, and OSHA standards by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Develop preventive maintenance programs, prepare scopes of work and cost estimates, and oversee contractor activities. Collaborate with operations, process engineering, and HSEQ teams, providing technical training to operators and field technicians. Requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 5-7 years of I&E experience in oil, gas, or water treatment facilities. 20% travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- 5 -7 years of experience in Instrumentation & Electrical engineering in industrial environments
- Direct experience in oil & gas, chemical plants, water treatment/recycling facilities, or similar process industries
- PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems
- Field instrumentation (pressure, flow, temperature, level sensors)
- Electrical distribution systems (motors, MCCs, VFDs, switchgear)
- Calibration, loop checks, and commissioning activities
- 20% travel
- Submit to and satisfactorily complete pre-employment background, medical, alcohol, and drug screening
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
