Job Summary
Instrumentation & Controls Technician to support build-up and maintenance of SpaceX data and control systems, including instrumentation, wiring harnesses, and electrical systems. Responsibilities include maintaining, calibrating, configuring, monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, installing, and repairing instrumentation and control systems; diagnosing malfunctions; laying out and building electrical units; performing sensor wiring terminations and verifying sensor health; adjusting circuitry and recording performance effects; interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams; and meeting diverse test requirements. Preferred skills include experience with RTDs, thermocouples, flow meters, IPC 620 harness assembly, oscilloscope and multimeter operation, soldering, crimping, data acquisition hardware, and knowledge of multiple bus architectures (PCI/PCIe, PXI/PXIe, GPIB, Serial, USB). Additional requirements cover physical dexterity, lifting up to 50 pounds, ability to work in varied environments, willingness to travel up to 10%, and ITAR considerations. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2+ years of experience working with instrumentation such as pressure transducers, thermocouples, valves, flow meters, multimeters, or oscilloscopes
