Job Summary
Design, implement, and maintain automation systems including PLC programming and SCADA development for gas farm operations and wastewater treatment in a solar cell factory; develop and program PLC control logic, PID loops, and interlocks for centralized control of distributed subsystems; select, calibrate, and integrate field instrumentation in hazardous environments with safety standards such as SIL, ATEX, and EPA/NPDES; lead commissioning, FAT/SAT testing, and troubleshooting of control systems with rapid alarm response; design electrical systems compliant to NEC, NFPA, and UL508A; ITAR-compliant manufacturing environment; 1+ years of relevant experience in fluids/systems manufacturing, controls and automation, and/or programming; strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work long hours and weekends to support critical milestones.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or chemical discipline
- 1+ years of experience with fluids/systems manufacturing, controls and automation, and/or programming (internship and extracurricular experience is applicable)
- PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Excited by a quick and iterative design and manufacturing role
- Hazardous process expertise in aerospace/oil & gas/chemical industries
- Ability to engineer creative, new approaches to problems while adhering to safety requirements
- Experience with electrical/industrial controls: motor sizing, fail-safe circuits, troubleshooting, schematics, field bus networks
- Industrial software: PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal), HMI/SCADA, MQTT/OPC-UA
- ITAR REQUIREMENTS: U.S. citizen/national or eligible for authorization
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Hazardous environments in aerospace/oil & gas/chemical industries
- Proven ability to solve complex problems with simple solutions in design and implementation
- Excellent written and verbal communication, cross-functional collaboration
- Experience with NEC, NFPA, UL508A safety standards
- Hazardous-material handling knowledge and safety-focused mindset
- Experience with PLC programming, SCADA, and industrial software
- Familiarity with EPLAN or equivalent electrical schematics
- Ability to work long hours and weekends as necessary to support critical milestones
