Job Summary
Digitize nuclear power plants by collaborating on multi-discipline engineering projects integrating electrical, computer, and mechanical systems. Prepare specifications for instrumentation and controls equipment procurement and perform engineering calculations. Work with electronic process sensors, digital controllers, and reactor components while traveling to client and vendor offices for design reviews and field verification. Utilize modern tools, automation, and AI to solve engineering problems, automate calculations, and reduce rework. Complete this hybrid role with three in-office days per week.
Required Qualifications
- A BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (from an ABET accredited program) with a strong academic background and coursework in analog and digital control systems
- 1 year of experience in the nuclear power industry or a MS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (from an ABET accredited program)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week

Desired Qualifications
- Coursework in mechatronics
- Experience in design engineering for nuclear power plant control system
- PE license
- Programming or scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB, advanced Excel) to automate calculations, design checks, reporting, or data transformation
- Additional learning, such as a minor, certificate, or other training in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields that helps you apply automation or agentic AI to real engineering problems
