Job Summary
Install, calibrate, repair, and maintain electronic process control field instrumentation in a modern coal processing environment. Perform all aspects of installation, including piping and wiring, while adhering to health and safety programs and policies. Work in a team-oriented environment of instrumentation and electrical peers, wearing a respirator where mandatory for interference-free seals. Report to the Supervisor, Maintenance Processing, in a full-time hourly position with a 4x4 day shift schedule. Commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C. to support EVR's steelmaking coal operations in the Elk Valley, British Columbia.
Required Qualifications
- Interprovincial Red Seal Instrumentation & Control Technician Certification
- Valid driver's license
- Experience in an industrial environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to wear a respirator which requires an interference free seal
- Ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C
- Must be willing to satisfy the pre-employment requirements of a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be willing to satisfy the pre-employment requirements of references
- Must be able to participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment of instrumentation and electrical peers
- Must be able to perform all aspects of installation where required, including piping and wiring
- Must be able to work a 4x4 day shift schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with control systems, DCS and PLC experience
- Previous mining experience
