Job Summary
Conduct instrument calibrations for bioreactors, utilities, formulation, and aseptic areas within FDA-regulated pharmaceutical and biotechnology environments. Manage calibration programs by performing tolerance calculations and assessments using Blue Mountain (RAM), Calman, or Procal software. Evaluate process instrumentation for temperature, pressure, humidity, flow, mass, pH, conductivity, dimensions, and electrical parameters in strict cGMP compliance. Work Tuesday through Saturday from 9pm to 5:30am, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds while operating tools near moving mechanical parts in potentially humid or odorous conditions. Requires Associate degree in Instrumentation Engineering or Electronics.
Required Qualifications
- Experience performing calibrations in Pharmaceutical Industry Environment
- Strong Knowledge in tolerance calculation
- Experience in Calibration system assessment
- Strong knowledge in process tolerance evaluation
- Process Instrumentation/ Calibration to manage calibration program
- Experience performing calibrations to Bioreactors, Utilities, Formulation, Aseptic Areas
- Must possess experience in: Temperature
- Must possess experience in: Technologies
- Must possess experience in: Pressure
- Must possess experience in: Humidity
- Must possess experience in: Flow
- Must possess experience in: Mass
- Must possess experience in: PH
- Must possess experience in: Conductivity
- Must possess experience in: Dimension and Electrical
- Knowledge in cGMP
- Associate degree in Instrumentation Engineering
- AD, Instrumentation Technology, and or Electronics
- AD, Tecnología de Instrumentación y / o Electrónica
- Available for the following working hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 9pm to 5:30am
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate equipments, tools, or controls
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk, or hear; sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and smell
- The employee may lift and/or move up to 25-35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- He / she may frequently work inside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, exposed to wet and or humid conditions, and an odorous atmosphere, may be exposed to fumes and the risk of electrical shock, and occasionally work on ladders in high places, in small spaces, such as lift/metering stations, manholes, tanks and wet wells
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud
Desired Qualifications
- Biotechnology preferred
- Experience in Blue Mountain (RAM), Calman, or Procal Software is highly preferred
