Job Summary
Instrumentation and Electrical Technician role at Air Products in Kingsport, TN. Responsible for maintaining and repairing electronic and digital process control equipment (including loop equipment, low-voltage systems, and control circuitry), troubleshooting DCS and PLC systems, calibrating instrumentation (pneumatic, RTD, mA, thermocouple), reading blueprints, P&IDs, and wiring schematics, and using calibration tools and test equipment. Emphasizes safe work practices, lockout/tagout procedures, timely documentation of activities, and coordination with engineers for system performance. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year Associate degree in instrumentation technology or related technical field preferred
- At least three years of experience as an Instrumentation Maintenance Technician in a petrochemical or manufacturing environment
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems and basic office software
