Job Summary
Instrumentation and Controls Technician at a power plant responsible for repairing and maintaining instrumentation & electrical equipment (low & high voltage), including process control instrumentation, control valves, motors, and switchgear. Performs corrective and preventive maintenance, calibrates transmitters/controllers, reads electrical schematics and P&ID drawings, and completes work orders. Works rotating 12-hour shifts, with paid on-duty meal periods and breaks, in a safety-sensitive environment. Requires ability to troubleshoot, use test equipment (digital multimeter, HART communicator), read technical manuals, and operate with limited supervision. Location: Mojave/Hinkley, CA and Gila Bend, AZ in the United States; relocation assistance not specified. Emphasizes safety policies, teamwork, and adaptability to different schedules.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; plus 5 years' direct work experience as an I&C technician in an industrial environment. Must possess a valid driver's license.
