Instrument Technician

Reprocess reusable medical devices, including endoscopy equipment, in accordance with AS/NZS 5369 standards. Collect, clean, process, autoclave, and distribute all internal and external linen and instruments as requested. Maintain levels of sterile supplies throughout the hospital and perform housekeeping duties within the CSSD. Ensure surgical instruments are maintained in excellent condition and attend to problems or breakages immediately. Inform the manager of CSSD activities and special problems while maintaining excellent relations with internal and external customers. Participate in quality improvement and risk management initiatives. This casual role offers varying shifts between 7:00am and 10:30pm, Monday to Friday, with some weekend work available.
