Instrument Technician I PRN -TOSH

Job Summary

Decontaminate medical instruments and materials by disassembling, cleaning by hand or machine, and maintaining accurate records of loads. Assemble, package, inspect, test, and reassemble instrument sets for transport to the operating room. Operate sterilizing equipment, perform biological and diagnostic tests on autoclaves and Steris units, and interpret results. Transport prepared sets to CSS and manage proper storage of instruments and equipment. Communicate professionally under pressure to fulfill urgent requests from OR staff.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to Follow Oral Instructions
  • Read and Write
  • Computer literacy in word/excel
  • Good communication skills
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States
  • Annual TB Screening
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Substance Abuse Testing

Desired Qualifications

  • Two (2) years SPD leadership experience preferred or Surgical Technical experience
