Job Summary
Instrument Technical Sales Specialist (TSS-I) in the Mid-Atlantic combines deep scientific expertise with customer insight to influence complex instrument sales. The role partners with Account Managers to translate customer challenges into differentiated, high-value solutions, delivering demonstrations and technical engagement that connect science to value, shape solution strategies across instruments, consumables, and software, and support qualification and closing of complex deals. The position requires field-based, regular in-person customer engagement across the territory, with residency within the assigned commercial area; success is measured by improved instrument win rates, faster advancement of opportunities, and stronger technical differentiation. Travel within the assigned territory is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related scientific field
- Experience in technical sales, applications, laboratory, or scientific roles
- Strong presentation and customer-facing communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts into customer value
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory
