Job Summary
The Instrument Tech provides essential support to licensed staff in delivering safe and quality care to surgery patients. Responsibilities include ensuring surgical instruments and equipment are in proper working order, performing maintenance and minor repairs, cleaning and preparing instruments for procedures, managing inventory, and maintaining a safe environment. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, relevant certifications, and knowledge of medical equipment and safety protocols. Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) or current Sterile Processing Certification
- Current BLS Certification
- Minimum of 1 year experience preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) preferably from AAMA
- Sterile Processing Certification
- BLS Certification
- 1 year of relevant experience
