Job Summary
Instrument Service Specialist responsible for preventive maintenance and diagnostic repair on LC-MS/MS instrumentation and robotic liquid handlers (Waters Acquity UHPLC, Sciex triple quadrupole MS, Hamilton STAR) at Labcorp RTP/ Triangle Research Site. Performs calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation; collaborates with MedTox R&D and lab staff; provides on-site and remote support to minimize downtime; schedules preventive maintenance with internal and external vendors; communicates equipment status to lab supervisors; and undertakes project-based process improvement tasks. Strong understanding of instrumental analysis, ability to diagnose instrument errors, and effective communication and problem-solving skills are required. Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday with overtime as needed. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant science field and 4+ years in a laboratory with 2+ years LC-MS experience. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology
- 4 or more years of experience in a laboratory
- 2 or more years of experience with Liquid Chromatography - Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS)
