Job Summary
Performs decontamination, cleaning, inspection, and sterilization of surgical instruments to ensure availability for cases; conducts biological monitoring of sterilizers and maintains accurate procedure logs; assists in instrument picking for daily case lineup and re-orders implant inventory to maintain stock levels; requires critical thinking, ability to work with minimal supervision, and effective English communication (bilingual preferred); routine hospital/healthcare environment with exposure to bloodborne pathogens and occasional travel to health-system locations; 10-hour shifts with hourly wage scale based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in reprocessing operations preferred
- Knowledge of or experience with Medical Terminology preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association (BLS Provider) or ability to obtain within the first 3 months of hire.
