Job Summary
Instrument Operator / Survey Assistant needed to support a field survey crew led by the Crew Chief. Responsibilities include operating survey instruments (total stations, GPS), collecting and recording accurate field data, setting wooden stakes and iron rods, performing equipment maintenance, and adhering to safety and quality policies. Travel is extensive (3-4 weeks on, 1 week off) with a per diem of $205; expect long hours (75-85 per week) and physical activity such as lifting up to 50 pounds and working at construction sites. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving history. Plano, TX-based role with on-site work.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One (1) to two (2) years of progressive experience in land survey field is preferred but not necessary
- Proficiency with land survey equipment (total stations) and GPS is required; proficiency with GPS is preferred but not required
- Must have a Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving history
