Job Summary
Set up total stations, gather survey data, and perform closed loop traverses while reducing data and running trig levels. Execute COGO functions including inverse, resection, and coordinate translation, then locate property corners using pin finders or legal descriptions. Calibrate prism rods, cut lines with machetes or chainsaws, and ensure the truck is fully equipped daily. Carry instruments, field tools, and follow instructions from the Party Chief while working outdoors in varying conditions. Requires a valid driver's license, high school diploma, and two years of survey experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- additional coursework in land surveying
- two years of survey related experience
- Combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
- valid driver's license
