Job Summary
Lead and supervise internal technicians and third-party contractors in system installation and commissioning. Layout, cut, bend, and thread stainless steel, copper, and carbon steel tubing for pneumatic and electrical signal lines. Read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, control narratives, and schematics. Calibrate instruments (transmitters, transducers, controllers) and perform loop checks and pressure tests to ensure zero-leak integrity. Conduct daily safety meetings and JHAs to meet OSHA and site environmental standards. Support engineering and integration teams during startup, troubleshooting, and validation of automated processes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: typically 5+ years in industrial or construction roles within oil & gas, petrochemical, or power generation
- NCCER Instrumentation credentials or equivalent training are highly preferred
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, tube benders, and calibration equipment
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Must be able to work in confined spaces, at high elevations, and in varying weather conditions
