Job Summary
Provide engineering support to production, maintenance, project, and technical departments to ensure improvements in electrical system reliability and resolve repetitive electrical-related problems. Recommend and specify instrumentation for process measurement applications and develop job scopes and drawing packages for small instrumentation/electrical projects. Provide technical support to Maintenance, Operations, and Environmental groups on instrumentation issues, including electrical systems operating at 480V and below such as motor control, lighting, and relay logic. Ensure proper maintenance on the instrumentation database and maintain documentation on all equipment including files, drawings, specifications, and calibration sheets. Maintain technical expertise and keep abreast of instrumentation technology and design changes. Assist Maintenance in developing repair/upgrade scopes for major turnarounds.
Required Qualifications
- A current, valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card
- Successful completion of background screening, including motor vehicle record screening
- Successful completion of drug testing
- Successful completion of pre-employment physical requirements
- B.S. Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Equivalent progressive engineering experience
