Job Summary
Instrument Buyer and Inventory Planner role to manage procurement lifecycle for instruments, coordinating purchase orders, supplier communications, and inventory levels to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery. Responsibilities include processing orders, preparing quotes and PO packages with necessary documentation, monitoring inventory and restocking, maintaining purchase-order records and supplier data, liaising with Quality, Receiving, Production, Customer Service, Accounts Payable, and other internal teams, forecasting requirements, and expediting deliveries as needed. The role requires ERP/MRP experience, data integrity, strong Excel and MS Office skills, excellent verbal/written communication, relationship-building with suppliers, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field OR 5 years of related purchasing experience
- Experience using ERP systems and maintaining data point integrity
- Experience with setting and maintaining planning parameters for MRP
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with cross-team collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to build internal and external supplier relationships
- Demonstrated problem-solving experience related to supply and demand
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, able to manage multiple tasks
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
