Job Summary
Instrument Asset Specialist focused on leveraging Emerson Smart Valve & Measurement technologies to drive efficiency, reliability, and cost reduction for Strategic Customers in Edmonton within Spartan Valve & Measurement Reliability Team. Responsibilities include using Emerson AMS Device Manager Suite for diagnostics and predictive alerts, providing reliability support at engineering and maintenance levels, delivering customer value, hands-on training of Emerson technologies, maintaining instrument data integrity and records (diagnostic, maintenance, datasheet, SIS validation), and participating in instrument and valve turnaround scope with inventory optimization. Requirements include an Engineering Degree or Instrumentation Diploma or Journeyperson designation, 5+ years in an operating process facility, experience with Emerson devices and AMS/Valvelink, strong customer service and communication skills, teamwork, and an entrepreneurial work ethic. The role requires regular commuting to customer sites and is classified as safety-sensitive with pre-employment testing; Sparta encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds and may consider equivalent qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering Degree, Instrumentation Technologist Diploma or Instrumentation Journeyperson designation from an accredited institution
- 5+ Years industry experience in an operating process facility is an asset
- Experience working with Emerson devices and AMS Device Manager/Valvelink software is an asset
- Experience in a Maintenance or Reliability Specialist role is an asset
- Proven Customer service skills
- Effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Highly motivated and innovative
- Ability to work in team environment
- Entrepreneurial work ethic
