Instrument and Controls Technician

Job Summary
Troubleshoot and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA/DCS controls systems. Install and troubleshoot field wiring and instruments, while assisting with mechanical repairs as required. Calibrate electrical sensors and replace PLC/HMI hardware including processors, I/O cards, and power supplies. Read design documents such as P&ID schematics, wiring drawings, and I/O lists to test, modify, and follow data signals across networks. Respond to equipment downtime issues in the plant to resolve problems quickly. This full-time non-exempt position reports to the Electrical Supervisor and is located in Philadelphia, PA. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with at least three years of industrial controls maintenance experience.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma, or equivalent, or technical training.
- Minimum 3 years of controls system maintenance in an industrial setting.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Ovation, Wonderware, and Allen Bradley.
- CEMS experience.
