Job Summary
CDL Class A instructor needed to mentor students by teaching safety and trucking industry best practices; responsible for in-person daily instruction in pre-trip inspection, basic control skills, and road driving; supervise trainees, document attendance and training records; ensure compliance with company policies and DOT requirements; opportunity for professional advancement and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with no more than two moving violations in a 12-month period, and/or no more than three moving violations in a 24-month period
- Minimum of 3 years over-the-road or local commercial driving experience, and/or minimum criteria required to obtain instructor licensure within applicable jurisdiction
- Must pass and maintain a U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
- Must pass DOT drug test and hair follicle drug test (HFT) and agree to random/suspicion-based drug and alcohol screening
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to deliver training and curriculum to students
- Completion of required onboarding/training and continuing education
