Job Summary
Establish a first-rate independent research program in urology and develop a national reputation by submitting as lead PI/co-PI at least two R-level NIH proposals or equivalent within the first two years. Educate medical and graduate students while collaborating as co-investigator on research proposals with internal and external researchers. Participate in departmental activities to enhance scholarly productivity and training of the next generation of scientists, alongside professional service to your discipline. Build professional relationships with students, fellows, colleagues, staff, administrators, and executive leadership. Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location, though remote work options may be granted at department discretion.
Required Qualifications
- Establishing a first-rate independent research program in the field of urology
- Establishing yourself as an outstanding educator of medical and graduate students in the field of urology
- Developing a national reputation in your field
- Participating in professional service to your discipline
- Participating in departmental activities to enhance scholarly productivity, training of the next generation of scientists, and other activities related to the academic missions of the department or the SOM
- Developing professional relationships with students, fellows, colleagues, staff, administrators and executive leadership
- Submit as lead PI/co-PI at least two R-level NIH proposal or equivalent, such as department of defense, American Cancer Society, and Prostate Cancer Foundation grants, within the first two years of appointment
- Collaborate as co-investigator on research proposals with internal and external researchers
- Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location
