Job Summary
CSMART is seeking a full-time Instructor – Technical CompEx Specialist to deliver CompEx training modules and support continuous improvement within the technical training department. The role demands strong technical skills, and proven leadership experience, with a focus on developing training for personnel in hazardous areas, specifically for cruise ship technical staff. Responsibilities include delivering training, updating courses, providing technical support, managing training equipment, and staying up-to-date with relevant industry standards. Candidates should possess current CompEx certification, and at least 5 years of relevant maritime experience, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and instructional skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of verifiable hazardous area work experience
- Current and valid CompEx certification
- Proven leadership experience in the maritime industry (minimum 5 years)
- Fluent in written and spoken English
Additional Requirements
- Cruise ship experience highly preferred
- Experience with Carnival Corporation brands is an asset
