Job Summary
The Surgical Technology Part Time Faculty member provides instructional education through didactic and clinical modalities and supports the operational needs of the NWCC surgical technology program. Responsibilities include assisting clinical instructors, teaching and monitoring student skills, evaluating student performance, acquiring new clinical sites, preparing admission paperwork, and potentially serving as a substitute instructor. The position requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, technological proficiency, and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Associate Degree Program
- Surgical Technology Certification within 2 years of appointment
- Five years clinical experience as a Surgical Technologist
- Three years of experience as faculty in a surgical technology program
- Legal active status to practice in the state of Mississippi
- Satisfy clinical agency requirements
