Job Summary
Supervise students in EMS labs while practicing skills, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment. Operate simulation manikins, including logging in, connecting to vital sign monitors, and programming feedback devices. Apply moulage for case-based scenarios, set up and restock supplies, and sanitize equipment after use. Report maintenance needs and assist the lead Certified Instructor Coordinator with course record organization. Requires current NYS EMT-B certification, at least two years of EMS field experience, and physical capability for essential functions. Salary is $33.00 hourly for a part-time position. Candidates interested in advancing to adjunct instructor will be supported in attaining credentials.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a high level of didactic knowledge and psychomotor skill competence at the Emergency Medical Technician-Basic level or higher
- Be able to demonstrate awareness and sensitivity toward promoting an inclusive and diverse learning environment
- be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
- Knowledge and familiarity with EMS equipment and supplies at the EMT level
- At least 2 years emergency medical services field experience
- Current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provider certification with the NYS Bureau of Emergency Medical Services
- Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma
- New York State Certified Lab Instructor (CLI) credential
- American Heart Association CPR Instructor certification
