Job Summary
As an instructor for the Sheet Metal Worker Apprenticeship at SAIT, deliver engaging, practical instruction across all years of the Sheet Metal program; develop and adapt teaching materials, learning activities, and assessments to promote student success; provide constructive feedback and guidance to learners to help them meet apprenticeship outcomes; participate in departmental activities and events; collaborate with faculty and staff to foster a collegial, team-oriented environment; support onboarding and ongoing instructor development; instructional duties may occur during early mornings, evenings, and weekends; Alberta Journeyperson Certificate and Red Seal in Sheet Metal Worker required, minimum five years of trade experience, and strong communication/organizational skills; dual certification in Gasfitter A/B or Electrician is a strong asset; proficient with Microsoft Office and presentation tools; experience with adult learners or on-the-job training is a plus; located in Calgary, AB; salary range $76,691–$99,965; 37.5 hours per week; benefits and professional development opportunities mentioned.
Required Qualifications
- Alberta Journeyperson Certificate and Red Seal in Sheet Metal Worker (required)
- Minimum of five years of experience in the trade
- Dual certification (Gasfitter A/B or Electrician) is a strong asset

- Experience with adult learners or on-the-job training is a plus
