Job Summary
Teach Reading, Math, Science, and Phonics to small groups of 2–4 students using our structured curriculum. Deliver individualized instruction focused on teaching, with no lesson planning or grading required. Help students achieve measurable gains on the Digital SAT, ACT, Regents, AP Exams, and classroom performance. Work Monday–Thursday evenings and Saturdays, or during summer mornings, with most instructors working 10–16 hours per week. Join Huntington Learning Center, the nation's oldest tutoring organization and the only MSA-accredited center in the Rochester area, to support students building confidence and academic success.
Required Qualifications
- Certified teachers
- Current or retired educators
- Graduate students (SAT/ACT training provided)
- College seniors with strong academics
- Engineers and STEM professionals
- Reading, writing, math, science, dyslexia, and special education instructors
- Individuals passionate about helping students succeed
- Primarily in-person at our Pittsford/Rochester center
- Limited remote opportunities may be available for exceptional candidates from Ivy League Schools
Desired Qualifications
- Teaching experience is preferred but not required
- Pre-med students
- Former instructors who improved from the 85th to the 99th percentile on the MCAT before attending Yale School of Medicine
- Exceptional candidates from Ivy League Schools
