Job Summary
Instructor and Program Coordinator for Project SEARCH based at Portsmouth Regional Hospital; develops, implements and evaluates curriculum for a school-to-work transition program for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, creates internship sites with business liaisons, and ensures interns build marketable, transferable skills while achieving productivity and quality in internships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university with a major in hospitality, home economics, social science, occupational education or education
- Three years professional or paraprofessional experience in business, hospitality, education, direct service delivery, planning or program evaluation
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to use technology provided to perform requirements of the job
- Ability to understand and interpret the functional interrelationship of policy, regulations and procedures and to evaluate the impact on programs
- Ability to detect and define problem areas and causes to create and develop solutions
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision making
- Ability to work independently to develop new or alternative approaches to meet changing variable conditions
- Must maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties
- Must have a valid driver's license, proof of adequate automobile liability insurance and safe, reliable transportation required.
