Instructor, Pre-Employment Training Specialist (Contract) Newton County

Job Summary
Develop and implement pre-vocational skills curriculum for students aged 14-21 across school settings, including Job Exploration Counseling, Work Based Learning, and Workplace Readiness Training. Oversee service delivery from referral to exit while creating comprehensive program guides, timelines, and tailored lesson plans. Coordinate with referral sources, schools, and parent advisory groups to plan activities, conduct site visits, and arrange class schedules. Supervise classroom environments, track performance metrics, and generate weekly and monthly status reports. Assist with Summer, Fall, and Spring GROW program activities. Travel between multiple school locations within the community.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in special education, rehabilitation, sociology, behavioral sciences, business administration, or a related field
- 2 years' experience in vocational rehabilitation or a teaching role
- Experience teaching or delivering career/work readiness to individuals with disabilities
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Between multiple school locations within the community
