Job Summary
Part-time Practical Nurse Instructor for clinical instruction in the Lethbridge area with a hybrid remote option, based in Calgary, Alberta. Delivering quality instruction in lab and clinical courses, develop lesson plans, support curriculum development, evaluate learner performance, and facilitate learning across face-to-face, blended, online, and clinical settings. Requires a Diploma in Nursing (LPN/RN), current CLPNA or CARNA permit, 4+ years of acute care nursing experience, CPR Health Care Provider certification, immunizations, and police check. Candidates must be able to teach to full scope of practice, participate in program events, and provide ongoing professional development. International credentials may require IQAS/WES assessment upon hire. This is a flexible part-time, casual faculty position with a hybrid remote option.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Nursing (LPN or RN)
- Current, unrestricted CLPNA or CARNA Practice Permit
- At least 4 years of recent acute care nursing experience
- CPR Health Care Provider Level certification
- Up-to-date immunizations and a Police Information Check (vulnerable sector included)
- Ability to teach to full scope of practice in compliance with government requirements for Practical Nurse facilitators
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and best teaching practices
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
- If education received internationally provide international education assessment upon hire
