Job Summary

Facilitate student learning by developing instructional strategies, integrating technologies, and delivering hybrid, in-person, and virtual courses. Assess student progress, provide feedback, and use data to measure outcomes and design improvement strategies. Develop and revise competency-based curriculum aligned with employer expectations and college policies. Manage classrooms by maintaining attendance records, ensuring safety, and securing equipment while making materials available. Engage in division activities, budgeting, and advisory committees to build relationships with community and clinical partners. Collaborate with staff to recruit students, promote programs, and retain learners by advising on schedules and internships.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of two years of occupational experience as a Registered Nurse
  • At least one year of employment within five years prior to the date of hire
  • Work experience with a focus on assessment of clients in either acute care, long-term care, or community nursing
  • Registered Nurse with active Wisconsin licensure
  • Clinical documentation requirements need to be met and maintained
  • Proficiency utilizing learning management systems
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands, assignments, and circumstances to meet student needs
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with various audiences
  • Ability to engage in continuous improvement in the quality of instruction by embracing innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods
  • Ability to move around the classroom, instructional, or clinical space, including walking between students' desks or workstations
  • Capability to stand for extended periods during lectures or demonstrations
  • Capability to sit for grading, office hours, and administrative tasks
  • Ability to lift and carry teaching materials, equipment, or props
  • Ability to manage weight specific to providing student instruction and patient care
  • Clear speech and the ability to hear students' questions and interactions
  • Precise hand movements or manual dexterity for activities such as writing on a whiteboard, demonstrating skills, or using instructional technology like computers
  • Adequate vision to read course materials, assess student work, and operate instructional equipment
  • Capability to ensure a safe learning environment, which may involve understanding and adhering to safety protocols, responding to emergencies, and addressing any physical hazards in the instructional space
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions, such as typing, without discomfort or injury
  • Off-site teaching, fieldwork, or travel for professional development
