Job Summary
Conduct advanced therapeutic endoscopy procedures including ERCP and EUS. Evaluate and manage patients while supervising fellows performing upper endoscopies and colonoscopies one day per week. Provide clinical care approximately 20% of the time and oversee GI fellows in outpatient procedures across the Medical Campus and Lennar Foundation Medical Center. Participate in scholarly activities as time permits. This Clinical Instructor role within the Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Miami supports the institution's mission to transform lives through education, research, innovation, and service.
Required Qualifications
- MD Degree
- ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency
- Boarded in Internal Medicine
- Completed 3-year GI fellowship
- Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology
- Board eligible
- Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License
- Must have license prior to credentialing
- Completion of 3-year gastroenterology fellowship
- Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
- Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care
- Current ACLS and BLS certification required
- Valid DEA licensure
