Instructor Master of Healthcare Administration *MHA

Instructors are subject matter experts who teach and support a caseload of students enrolled in their assigned course(s). Instructors offer specialized instruction on topics in their course(s) aligned with best practices, as well as monitor and support student progress in competency development and course completion. Using technology, Instructors may interact with students in both group and one-to-one settings. Instructors collaborate with other instructional and program faculty serving the students in their course to ensure continuity and quality of support. Job Duties include developing instructional materials aligned with learning objectives and course competencies to support both student self-service use and virtual one-to-many events; delivering effective, relevant one-to-many virtual events; continually developing knowledge through faculty learning communities; providing proactive one-to-one virtual instruction to students; facilitating student communities to support peer collaboration and engagement; coaching students to achieve personal, academic, and career goals; adapting instructional practices to learner needs; using data to identify student needs and tailor outreach; ensuring equity and inclusion in instruction; engaging in regular self-reflection to improve instructional impact; tolerance for occasional travel up to 20%. Strong KSAs include subject-matter expertise, ability to adapt resources for diverse adult learners, strong communication, and ability to facilitate synchronous online interactions. Minimum qualifications specify a Doctorate or terminal degree, and 3+ years of student-support/instruction experience, with flexibility for evenings/weekends; department specifics include Doctor of Healthcare Administration or closely related terminal degrees, with licensure/credentialing requirements varying by program. The role may involve travel and the opportunity to contribute to equity in online education.
