Job Summary
Lead client-facing learning consulting to uncover training needs through workshops, focus groups, and analysis frameworks, then design strategic instructor-led training solutions and curriculum maps for internal engineering staff and external nuclear industry clients. Oversee program implementation by coordinating cross-team stakeholders, managing project schedules and scope, and mitigating execution risks while presenting solution proposals and evaluation plans. Synthesize feedback and data to drive continuous improvements in instructional design and training effectiveness. Occasional travel to Chicago, regional offices, and client locations required.
Required Qualifications
- 8 or more years of experience as a Curriculum Designer, Training Specialist, Instructional Designer, Performance Consultant, Training Program Manager, or similar position
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Learning Sciences, Instructional Design, Adult Education, Engineering, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Ability to work with templates and adhere to style guidelines
- Proficiency in ADDIE, SAT, or performance-based models of training development
- Ability to independently take vague/undefined performance problems, define a systematic approach to uncovering needs, and develop a solution vision
- Experience working with highly technical, complex, regulated content
- Experience designing large, multi-modality training solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
- This position requires occasional travel to Chicago, regional offices, and client locations to support project needs.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the nuclear energy industry or another regulated, engineering, or safety-critical environment
- Experience with course-level design and development
