Job Summary
Design and implement age-appropriate sports training sessions for youth participants, teaching fundamental skills, rules, and strategies across disciplines like dance, gymnastics, t-ball, soccer, and basketball. Enforce safety guidelines, monitor equipment use, and ensure the well-being of all children in a diverse environment. Communicate effectively with parents and program coordinators regarding participant progress and updates. Assist in organizing sports events, competitions, and community outreach initiatives to promote youth engagement. Maintain a safe, inclusive atmosphere that fosters teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles while supporting the community's well-being through structured sports education and mentorship.
Required Qualifications
- 16+ years old
- Experience working with children in sports or recreational settings
- Basic knowledge of youth sports (dance, gymnastics, t-ball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, etc.) rules, techniques, and safety practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass background checks and comply with child safety regulations
- Effective communication
- Knowledge of youth sports (basketball, soccer, dance, gymnastics, t-ball, or volleyball)
- Interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in youth sports coaching or related field
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience in organizing community sports programs or events
