Job Summary
Plan and implement learning experiences that help children develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally while supervising student behavior and teacher aides. Manage assigned staff by interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating employees in accordance with district policies and state laws. Maintain up-to-date records of student progress, including observations and individualized education plans, and collect various fees. Organize parent committees and conduct home visits to understand each child's learning needs. Prepare instructional materials, wash and dry student clothes, and bathe students as assigned. This role supports the district's vision and Strategic Plan, requiring regular attendance and adaptability to changing work environments.
Required Qualifications
- Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Preschool Education (Birth to Age Four) or Pre-Kindergarten/Primary Education (Age Three Through Grade Three)
- Upon employment must sign and fulfill the requirements of an Agreement to Earn for Head Start Instructor
