Job Summary
Part-time Instructor for HIST 3P74 Fall D2 at Brock University. Duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty). Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Canadian History, demonstrated knowledge of immigration, ethnicity, and race in Canada since the 19th century, demonstrated scholarly engagement with the historical profession, experience teaching undergraduate History courses, and evidence of teaching excellence. This position may involve working with teaching assistants and is governed by the Collective Agreement; applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, two references, evidence of teaching excellence, and a sample syllabus. Flexible work arrangements are noted; however, on-campus work is required as needed. Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Canadian History
- Demonstrated knowledge of and expertise in the history of immigration, ethnicity, and race in Canada since the 19th century

- Evidence of teaching excellence in History at the undergraduate university level (e.g., letters of reference, course/performance evaluations, and/or other components of a teaching dossier)
