Job Summary
Instructors will conduct scheduled contact time with students for HIST 2P02: Canada After 1885, including lectures and non-classroom time (preparation, student consultations, marking and grading, and course administration such as grade appeals). Requires Ph.D. in Canadian History with demonstrated knowledge of post-1885 Canadian History, scholarly engagement, and evidence of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level. Duties include teaching undergraduate courses, assignment of grades, and collaboration with teaching assistants, with emphasis on delivering high-quality instruction and academic integrity. Applicants must provide a cover letter detailing qualifications, a current CV, two academic references, relevant teaching evidence (e.g., teaching dossier, letters, evaluations), and a sample syllabus. Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Canadian History
- Demonstrated knowledge of and expertise in post-1885 Canadian History
- Demonstrated scholarly engagement with the historical profession
- Experience in teaching undergraduate university History courses
- Evidence of teaching excellence in History at the undergraduate university level (e.g., letters of reference, course/performance evaluations, and/or other components of a teaching dossier)
