Job Summary
Provide group coverage for rest breaks, meal periods, and direct service as assigned. Deliver individual and group instruction to participants with intellectual disabilities, challenging behaviors, or dual diagnosis while implementing positive behavioral programs. Maintain constant supervision, apply age-appropriate training activities, and respond to crises using approved techniques. Collect error-free data, complete program paperwork, and document participant outings and activities. Communicate health concerns to supervisors and initiate First Aid during medical emergencies. Travel locally up to 30% of the time and maintain a clean, safe environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid California issued Driver's License
- Personal automobile liability insurance
- A vehicle available for use daily
- A driving record that meets the standards outlined in the Company's hiring policies
- Business Exclusions on automobile insurance policies are prohibited
- Employee automobile insurance must include a certificate of insurance verifying their policy does not include a Business Exclusion
- Willingness to travel locally up to 30% of the time
- Physical and mental fitness to work with participants who are potentially dangerous to self or others
- Willingness to complete a health screening physical examination that includes a drug screen and TB test
- Unrestricted capacity to employ Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training
- Meeting state personnel licensing standards
- Ability to successfully complete CPR and First Aid Certification
- Willingness to work within a culturally integrated workplace
